Baseball Playoffs: Rockies One Win Away From World Series

Major League Baseball's Colorado Rockies are one victory away from their first World Series appearance, after beating the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks, 4-1, Sunday.

The Rockies took a three-games-to-none lead in the best-of-seven National League Championship Series with the win. They hope to complete a sweep Monday on their home field in Denver.

Venezuelan Yorvit Torrealba broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth inning Sunday with a three-run home run off Arizona pitcher Livan Hernandez of Cuba.

With a cold rain falling throughout the game, Colorado pitcher Josh Fogg gave up seven hits in six innings of work to earn the win.

The Rockies have won 20 of their last 21 games.

The American League Championship Series resumes Monday with the Boston Red Sox visiting the Cleveland Indians. The best-of-seven series is tied at a win apiece.
