Serb Prosecutors Want Argentina to Extradite War Crimes Suspect

Serbian prosecutors have asked a special war crimes court in Serbia to seek the extradition of a former Serb paramilitary suspected of war crimes.

The suspect, Nebojsa Minic, is currently in Argentina. He was arrested there last month on charges of entering the country illegally and having forged documents.

The Serbian war crimes prosecutor's office says he is suspected of ordering members of his paramilitary group to kill, torture and rape ethnic Albanians in the Kosovo town of Pec.

The prosecutor's office says 12 people were killed in June, 1999, under those alleged orders, including five children.
