Friday marked the anniversary of the 1963 March on Washington, during which American civil rights leader the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Though the crowd for the 2020 march Friday was smaller than expected, thousands came to protest police killings of Black Americans, which they say are a legacy of slavery and racism that the country is still trying to overcome. VOA’s Esha Sarai reports.
