Democrats have officially kicked off their four day 2020 National Convention that culminates Thursday night with as they officially nominate Joe Biden as their candidate to challenge President Trump in November’s election. The party is highlighting its message of inclusion with a wide variety of names across the political spectrum. The first night began with appearances by progressive Senator Bernie Sanders, other former democratic presidential contenders along with Former Ohio Governor John Kasich, a republican. The keynote address was delivered by arguably the most popular democrat, former first lady Michelle Obama. This is the first national political convention of the coronavirus era and the first ever being done virtually.
