Famine spreads in war torn Sudan
Famine is reported to be spreading in Sudan amid relentless war between the military and a notorious paramilitary group that devastated the country and created the world’s largest displacement crisis. The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification, The or IPC -- a global hunger monitor Tuesday said it detected famine in five areas, including in Sudan’s largest displacement camp, in North Darfur province, where famine was found for the first time in August.
