Once Overwhelmingly White and Male, US Fighting Force Is Now as Diverse as America Itself

For much of U.S. history, the American military's fighting force was overwhelmingly white and male. But today, the force is as diverse as the country it protects. VOA’s Carla Babb took a trip to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, home of the 82nd Airborne, which calls itself the most diverse military division in the United States.
