Israeli security forces killed two Palestinians Friday in Nablus, the West Bank's commercial capital.
Two militant groups claimed both men as members of their organizations.
Israel’s defense minister praised the operation.
Yoav Gallant said, “There will be no loop that isn't closed and there won't be a terrorist who doesn't pay the heaviest price.”
Israel’s operation comes days after Israel carried out a two-day offensive on the Jenin refugee camp, causing extensive damage and killing 12 Palestinians and one Israeli soldier.

The U.N. Security Council is set to hold a closed-door meeting on the Jenin assault on Friday, per a request from the United Arab Emirates.
Israel captured the West Bank, east Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip in 1967.
Palestinians want those territories for an independent state.
