After years of uncertainty and economic hardship brought by erratic weather and trade disputes, grain commodity prices are booming, as U.S. farmers head to the fields to plant this year’s crops. As VOA’s Kane Farabaugh reports from the Midwest state of Illinois, it’s news that brings both hope and concern for farmers.
