Opioid Addiction in US Afflicts All Ages

For nearly 20 years, an opioid addiction has been spreading in the United States, to the point where it's now an epidemic, fueled by both legal and illegal drugs. Prescription painkillers containing narcotics, or opioids, have led to thousands of overdose deaths and hospitalizations. But until now, researchers have not studied how this epidemic affects the youngest members of society. VOA's Carol Pearson has more.
