British poet Sarah Howe is the latest winner of the T.S.Eliot Prize, considered the top award for poetry in the United Kingdom. Born in Hong Kong to a Chinese mother and a British father, Howe spent her early childhood in the former British colony before moving to England. Her book of poems "Loop of Jade" explores her dual heritage. Howe is now participating in a writing fellowship at Harvard University. VOA's Sarah Williams asked Howe to describe her identity as a child of two cultures:
