Indian Seniors Coach Underprivileged Children

In India, senior citizens are tutoring students as part of an initiative that aims at simultaneously helping underprivileged students and improving the health of older people as it engages them with younger ones. The government-funded Intergenerational Learning Center, launched with the backing of India’s premier hospital, has an eye on addressing the needs of both the country’s huge young population and the growing numbers of elderly people.
