US-led Training Initiative Seeks to Bring Power to African Women -- Literally

As urbanization sweeps across Africa, more and more energetic, ambitious African women are entering the energy sector. But they face many challenges: discrimination, misogyny and a lack of female role models and colleagues. The U.S.-funded programs Power Africa and Young African Leaders Initiative have brought 37 women to Johannesburg this month to teach them more about making it in this harsh environment.
