U.S. airlines are announcing new steps to protect passengers from the coronavirus as the number of people flying has stalled, threatening a three-month gradual increase in air travel. This comes as Delta recently posted a nearly $6 billion loss for the April-through-June quarter. Delta lost $27 million a day in June. Airlines are encouraging employees to quit or retire early to reduce the need for layoffs in October when federal payroll aid runs out. VOA Correspondent Mariama Diallo reports.
