U.S. lawmakers are rushing to address the demands for police reform heard in the historic nationwide protests over the May 25 death of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis. Senate Republicans announced Wednesday they will vote on a proposal next week just as House Democrats are set to pass their own reform legislation.
