During a phone call between U.S. President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Biden told Netanyahu to improve the humanitarian situation and the safety of innocents in the Palestinian enclave. White House National Security Adviser John Kirby said If Israel does not change how it is carrying out its war in Gaza, the U.S. will change its policy toward Israel. Within hours, Israel opened three humanitarian routes for aid. We talk with Nomi Bar-Yaacov, an associate fellow of the International Security Program at Chatham House.
