With over a billion people worldwide living with disabilities, the UN says they are also among the hardest hit by COVID-19 with higher fatalities. Their need for assistance is making it hard for them not to contract the virus and maintain the required safety measures or gain access to proper healthcare. On this edition of Our Voices, Auriane Itangishaka will look at challenges that people living with disabilities have during this pandemic and explore some of the available recourses or solutions to support this often overlooked community.
