Suicide Bomber Injures 4 Indian Soldiers in Kashmir

Police in Indian controlled Kashmir say a suspected Muslim militant has blown himself up outside an army camp, killing himself and wounding four Indian soldiers.

Police say the suicide bomber detonated explosives strapped to his body as he tried to force his way into the camp north of Srinagar.

Also Monday, Indian soldiers killed at least three Islamic guerrillas in separate incidents.

Muslim rebels have been fighting since 1989 to end Indian rule in Kashmir, a Himalayan region divided between India and Pakistan. More than 60,000 people have died during the insurgency, most of them civilians.
