The United States and Cuba will meet in the championship game of the 34th Baseball World Cup on Sunday in Taipei after both won semifinal games.
The American team beat host Taiwan 4-1 Saturday, while the Cubans ended Japan's eight-game tournament winning streak with a 3-1 decision in 11 innings.
The favored Cubans are looking for their seventh straight world title, and 22nd since the event began in 1938.
