Scientists in Arizona, New York, and North Carolina say they may have found an important mechanism that could determine whether a patient with severe Covid-19 will live or die. It’s an enzyme known as sPLA2-IIA, which, they say, has similarities to an active enzyme found in rattlesnake venom.
