A Mississippi man has pleaded guilty to sending poisoned letters to President Barack Obama and other officials.
The U.S. Justice Department says James Everett Dutschke, a former martial arts instructor, will serve 25 years in prison.
Dutschke plead guilty to mailing letters laced with ricin to the president, a U.S. senator and a Mississippi judge last April.
The letters to the president and senator were intercepted at a mail handling facility. The judge received her letter, but was not harmed.
Prosecutors say the 41-year-old Dutschke tried to frame another man for the crime, an Elvis Presley impersonator, who initially was charged in the investigation.
