Illegal Immigration and Deportations Face New Scrutiny in the US
U.S. states are enacting controversial immigration laws, while the federal government is trying to reassert its control over immigration enforcement. It is also trying to reduce the number of deportations of illegal immigrants which soared to nearly 400,000 in the last year.
