In Iraq, insurgents attacked police stations in a central region of the country, near the city of Baquba Tuesday.
Local officials say at least 12 people, including several policemen, were wounded in the attack on two police stations. They say at least one of the attackers was also killed.
In Baghdad, on Monday, six people, including three policemen were killed in back-to-back bombings at two churches and a suicide attack on a nearby hospital.
Earlier, another suicide bomber killed three people on the main road to Baghdad airport. A separate insurgent attack killed an American soldier in eastern Baghdad.
