Indian Stars Back Home After Colombo Concert Attack

update

A group of Indian film stars have returned from Sri Lanka, where a grenade attack killed two people attending their concert there. Eighteen others were wounded in the blast.

The dead included a local hotel employee and a press photographer. No entertainers were hurt.

Detectives sealed off and began searching for clues at Colombo's former Race Course. Hindi super star Shahrukh Khan had been performing before a sell-out crowd of more than 20,000 fans, including India's top diplomats in Colombo. The blast occurred in the stands, just as the concert was ending.

Mr. Khan told reporters he does not believe the violence was linked to a group of Buddhists who had earlier protested the timing of the concert.

The Indian government condemned the "terrorist incident" and said New Delhi awaited results of the Sri Lankan investigation.
