Revelers are gathering in Ethiopia for a massive celebration in honor of the late Jamaican reggae superstar Bob Marley.
Organizers say as many as 400,000 people are expected for the month-long festival, which kicks off Tuesday in Addis Ababa.
The festival, dubbed "Africa Unite," includes a peace parade, photographic and visual arts exhibits and performing artists. The highlight of the celebration will be Ethiopia's largest -ever concert on Marley's 60th birthday, February 6.
It is the first time the annual commemoration of Marley's birthday has been held outside of Jamaica.
