Vatican Releases Spiritual Testament of Pope John Paul


The Vatican has released the spiritual testament of Pope John Paul.

In the document, the pope said he considered resigning in 2000, and also thought about being buried in his native Poland. He also requested that his personal notes be destroyed.

Meanwhile, millions of pilgrims are in Rome to pay their respects to John Paul, the third longest serving pontiff in Roman Catholic history.

President Bush and some 200 other world leaders are in Rome to attend the pope's funeral Friday. The pontiff will be interred in a crypt beneath Saint Peter's Basilica.

Italian officials have imposed extraordinary security measures, that include anti-aircraft missiles and instituting a no-fly zone over Rome.
