Belgian tennis player Justine Henin-Hardenne and Russia's Nadia Petrova have reached the finals of the German Open tennis tournament in Berlin.
Henin-Hardenne extended her winning streak to 16 matches in a row by beating Switzerland's Patty Schnyder, 6-0, 6-1. The Belgian is in the midst of a comeback from a virus and injury that sidelined her last season.
In Sunday's final, Henin-Hardenne takes on Russian Nadia Petrova, who scored a three-set win over Jelena Jankovic of Serbian-Montenegro (6-4, 6-7, 6-3). It was the Serbian player's second match of the day - she first finished her quarterfinal against Russian Elena Bovina (6-3, 3-6, 6-3).
The Belgian is trying to win her third tournament in one month after taking clay-court events in Warsaw last week and Charleston, South Carolina last month.
Henin-Hardenne and Petrova have met six times before, with the Belgian holding a 5-1 advantage in their all-time meetings. However, Petrova won their last meeting - at last year's U.S. Open in New York.
The tournament is a key warm-up for the second major tournament of the year, the French Open, which starts later this month in Paris.
