Cambodia School Hostage Gang Charged with Murder

update

Suspect in the taking of hostages at an international school in Siem Reap, Cambodia, is questioned by police
Cambodian prosecutors have charged seven men with kidnapping and murder in connection with a hostage crisis at an international school last week.

Four men armed with a single gun stormed the Siem Reap International School in northwestern Cambodia last Thursday, taking dozens of children hostage and killing a Canadian toddler.

Three other men arrested after the lengthy siege were charged as accomplices. One of the three, who allegedly sold the gun used in the siege, was charged with trafficking in weapons.

Police say the motive for the incident was revenge. They say the gang's suspected leader, Chea Khom, wanted to kill the two children of a South Korean former employer who abused him.

The four men face 15 years to life in prison if convicted.
