Following a meeting between Mexican President Vicente Fox and his counterpart Viktor Yushchenko, the two said they are considering agreements to cooperate in building aircraft and producing fertilizer. They also announced intentions to streamline visa regulations, easing travel between their nations.
Mr. Fox Monday also attended a ceremony marking the official opening of the Mexican Embassy in the Ukrainian capital.
From Ukraine, Mr. Fox goes to Russia, where he is due to meet President Putin on Tuesday. It will be the first state visit by a Mexican president to Moscow since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
