The body of the late Sudanese vice president and longtime rebel leader John Garang is being taken on a tour of several cities before heading to its final resting place in Juba, southern Sudan.
Friday, his body was flown to the southern town of Yei. There, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni cast doubt on the cause of the helicopter crash that killed Mr. Garang.
Mr. Museveni said it may have been an accident, or it may have been something else. Mr. Garang was flying in the helicopter normally used by Mr. Museveni when it crashed into a mountainous region on the border between Uganda and Sudan.
Both the Sudanese government and Mr. Garang's rebel movement have said the crash was an accident.
An official investigation is under way.
Rumors of sabotage led to riots in the capital, Khartoum, and several other cities that killed at least 130 people.
Mr. Garang's funeral will be held Saturday.
