Saddam's Letter to Friend Published

update

Ousted Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has written a letter to a friend, saying he would sacrifice himself for the Arab cause.

The letter was delivered by the International Committee of the Red Cross.

In it, the deposed Iraqi leader says life is meaningless without the consideration of faith, love and the inherited history of Iraq. He ends the letter by writing "long live Palestine."

The letter was published in two Jordanian newspapers Sunday.

Iraqi authorities are investigating several possible charges against Saddam, including genocide and crimes against humanity.
