Cycling: Heras Captures 4th Tour of Spain

Spanish cyclist Roberto Heras has captured a record fourth Tour of Spain after Italian sprinter Alessandro Petacchi won the 21st and final stage of the race.

Petacchi completed Sunday's 136.5-kilometer stage around Madrid in 3:34:41. German riders Erik Zabel and Heinrich Haussler were credited with the same time and finished second and third respectively.

Heras finished comfortably in the main pack to become just the second rider to win the Tour three times in a row. The Spaniard finished 0:04:36 ahead of Russian Denis Menchov, while Carlos Sastre of Spain was third overall, an additional 18 seconds back.

Heras, 31, previously won the Tour of Spain in 2000, 2003 and 2004.
