British Football Team Players Could Earn $500,000 for World Cup Win

England football players will reportedly earn about half a million dollars each if they win next year's World Cup in Germany.

The payments are outlined in a bonus package that the players agreed to in principle with the Football Association (FA) during talks in Manchester. The talks involved senior squad members David Beckham, Gary Neville, Michael Owen and Sol Campbell.

FA spokesman Adrian Bevington confirmed an agreement for World Cup bonuses had been reached but would not divulge figures. He said it was a constructive meeting and the FA is happy that a deal was reached in principle after the first discussions.

England is set to play a friendly match against Argentina on Saturday in Geneva.
