Uzbekistan's courts have sentenced 42 more people to long jail terms for taking part in an opposition protest rally in the eastern city of Andijan.
The Supreme Court says the 42 were found guilty of a number of serious crimes, including premeditated murder and participation in terrorist activity. They received sentences ranging from 12 to 20 years.
Wednesday's verdicts bring the total number of people sentenced so far in connection with the May 13 unrest to 115.
Uzbek officials have barred human rights groups from monitoring the trials and have rejected an international probe into what happened at Andijan.
Witnesses and human rights groups say hundreds of civilian protesters were killed by Uzbek troops. But President Islam Karimov has blamed Islamic radicals for the violence, which officials say killed 187 people.
