Controversial television host and political activist Ronald Waddell has been shot and killed in Guyana.
Unknown gunmen shot Waddell as he left his seaside home near the Guyanese capital of Georgetown Monday night. He was rushed to Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Waddell was a member of the opposition People's National Congress Reform party.
Waddell also was a controversial talk show host who allegedly urged support for an armed resistance group while on the air.
Police are investigating Waddell's murder.
