Anthony's shot with 3.8 seconds to go gave the Nuggets the win. Denver overcame a 42-point performance by league-leading scorer Kobe Bryant of L.A.
The top team in the NBA - the Detroit Pistons - held off the playoff-bound Miami Heat to win 95-82 on the road. The Pistons nearly blew a 12 point lead in the fourth quarter before winning their sixth straight contest.
In the league's only other game Thursday, the Atlantic Division champion New Jersey Nets defeated the lowly Charlotte Bobcats 113-102 to stretch the NBA season's longest winning streak to 14 games.
