A grenade exploded in a restaurant in Petatlan, Mexico, outside the city of Acapulco Wednesday, the second attack in the region this week.
Authorities said at least 30 people were injured in the pre-dawn blast. Among the injured was the driver for the town's mayor.
Monday in Acapulco, five people were wounded in a similar grenade attack.
Officials blame drug smuggling and organized crime for a recent surge in violence in northern Mexico.
