NHL: Mighty Ducks Edge Avalanche in Overtime

Joffrey Lupul scored all four goals to help the Anaheim Mighty Ducks record a 4-3 overtime win over the Colorado Avalanche in National Hockey League playoff action Tuesday.

Lupul's career night included two goals in the third period, and ended with the winning shot at the 16 minute, 30 second mark in overtime.

Colorado took a 1-0 lead when Dan Hinote scored late in the first period, ending Anaheim rookie goalie Ilya Bryzgalov's quest for a fourth consecutive shutout playoff game. His shutout streak of 249 minutes, 15 seconds was the second longest in NHL playoff history.

Montreal's George Hainsworth holds the all-time record of 270 minutes, eight seconds set in 1930.

The win gives the Mighty Ducks a 3-0 lead in their second-round Western Conference playoff series. Only two NHL teams have come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a playoff series - the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1942 and the New York Islanders in 1975.
