Warner Brothers recording artist Daniel Powter spends his 14th week at Number One on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart (week ending August 5) with his debut single "Bad Day." The song now ranks fourth on the list of longest-running Number Ones by a solo male vocalist on that list. Phil Collins spent 19 weeks at the top of the chart with "You'll Be In My Heart," Rob Thomas logged 18 weeks at Number One with "Lonely No More" and Enrique Iglesias reigned at the top for 15 weeks with "Hero."
Funk rock artist Prince (real name Prince Rogers Nelson) and his second wife Manuela Testolini Nelson are ending their four-and-a-half year marriage. Manuela reportedly filed for divorce on May 24. Prince was married once before. His two-year marriage to R&B singer Mayte Garcia was annulled in 1998.
In a recent interview with People magazine, 'N Sync's Lance Bass acknowledged he is gay. He says the ongoing rumors "really were starting to affect my daily life. Now it feels like it's on my terms." Bass has been involved with actor Reichen Lehmkuhl for the past few months. He calls their relationship a "stable" one.

On August 3, Eric Clapton will perform a concert in Moscow's Red Square for the first time in his career. Clapton has been on tour in 14 European countries since early May. His U.S. concerts are scheduled to begin on September 16 in Minneapolis.
Singer Toni Braxton will open her Las Vegas show, "Toni Braxton: Revealed," on August 3. The long-term engagement will run six days each week at Harrah's Flamingo resort. Shows are currently scheduled through March 2007.

The 2006 Lollapalooza Festival will take place August 4-6 in Chicago, Illinois. More than 130 bands will appear on eight stages at the city's Grant Park. Headliners include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kanye West, Wilco and Sonic Youth.

On August 5, Mariah Carey will kick off her first concert tour in three years in support of her latest album The Emancipation of Mimi. "The Adventures of Mimi" tour begins in Miami, Florida and is scheduled to stop in 32 North American cities through October 10.
Billboard Boxscore reports that the Rolling Stones had the highest grossing tour in the world for the first half of 2006. The group's 45 U.S. arena shows and overseas stadium concerts earned more than $147 million. U2 follows in second place with $73 million. Rounding out the Top 5 are Bon Jovi (more than $65 million), Billy Joel (more than $47 million) and Cirque du Soleil's Delirium (close to $39 million).
