Trinidad and Tobago's Renny Quow Wins Men's 400-Meters Title in Beijing

Trinidad and Tobago's Renny Quow has clocked 45.74 seconds to take the men's 400-meters title at the World Junior Athletics Championships in Beijing.

American Justin Oliver was second, just four-100ths of one second back. Britain's Martyn Rooney placed third (45.87).

In the women's 400-meters, Croatian Danijela Grgic won the gold medal (50.78 seconds). Jamaican Sonita Sutherland took silver (51.42) and Nawal El Jack of Sudan won the bronze (51.67).

In other events, Kenya's Remmy Limo Ndiwa took the men's 1500-meters in 3:40.44 minutes. Compatriot Caroline Chepkurui Tuigong won the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:40.95). Jamaica's Kaliese Spencer won the women's 400-meter hurdles (in 55.11 seconds).

China's Huang Haiqiang won the men's high jump by clearing two meters, 32 centimeters. Estonian Kaire Leibak won the women's triple jump with a distance of 14 meters, 43 centimeters. Russian Arkadiy Vasilyev won the decathlon with 8509 points.
