2 Picasso Paintings Stolen From Artist's Granddaughter

French police say two paintings by Spanish artist Pablo Picasso have been stolen from his granddaughter's home in Paris.

Police say the paintings, worth about $66 million, were stolen late Monday night or early Tuesday from the Paris apartment of Diana Widmaier-Picasso.

The Paris police department's organized crime division is investigating the theft.

The Spanish painter was one of the founders of the "cubist" art movement. He died in 1973 at the age of 92.
