Steve McQueen's sports car will soon be on the auction block.
A 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso, which the actor used to drive every day, is expected to fetch between $800,000 and $1.2 million at an auction in August.
A spokesperson for Christie's auction house says the actor special ordered the metallic brown car in 1963, and used it for everyday transportation for about 10 years.
Selling the vehicle is Michael Regalia, who bought it in 1997. He reportedly spent about 4,000 hours restoring it to its original condition.
The car will go to auction August 16 at Christie's International Motor Cars 2007 flagship auction at the Monterey Jet Center in California. (car photo at MSNBC.com)
