British Police Arrest 4 in Connection with London's 2005 Suicide Bombings

British police have arrested four additional suspects in connection with the London suicide bombings that killed 52 commuters and wounded more than 700 others in July 2005.

Authorities say the arrests took place Wednesday in and near the cities of Leeds and Birmingham, and those picked up include the widow of one of the London suicide bombers.

A police spokesman said detectives are trying to determine whether the suspects provided logistical support to the 2005 bombers. Police declined to elaborate.

British police arrested three other people in March in connection with the bombings. Officials said today that the probe of the bombings is not yet complete.

In the transit bombings nearly two years ago, four suicide bombers detonated explosives aboard three underground London trains and a city bus. The attacks remain the deadliest in London since the end of World War II.

Some information for this report was provided by AFP, AP and Reuters.
