Paralympics Gold Medalist Calls On Harare To Support Athletes With Disabilities

Zimbabwe's paralympics gold medallist, Elliot Mujaji, has called on the government and the corporate sector, to sponsor more sports for persons with disabilities, saying they are grossly under funded in the country.

Although Mujaji has been drafted to play for Zimbabwe in this year's All Africa Games in Algiers, Algeria, the four time gold medallists, said he is very disappointed at the poor representation of people with disabilities, in the team chosen to represent Zimbabwe.

Mujaji told sports reporter Marvelous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe, that he would like to see people with disabilities get the kind of financial support extended to national soccer teams.
