Lindsay Lohan's publicist says the actress is back in rehab.
In a May 29 statement, Leslie Sloan Zelnick said the troubled 20-year-old "admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility" on May 28.
The move follows a weekend in which Lohan crashed her Mercedes Benz, was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated, and was photographed closed-eyed and slumped in the passenger seat of a friend's car.
Lohan was arrested May 26 after her car hopped a curb and hit a shrub on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. Police investigating the accident also found a substance tentatively identified as cocaine. The case remains under investigation.
Lindsay Lohan's preliminary court date is scheduled for August 24. This is the actress' second stint in rehab this year. She said in January she had checked into a rehabilitation center for substance abuse treatment.
