Actor Tom Sizemore Sentenced to 16 Months in Jail for Violating Probation

Tom Sizemore has been sentenced to 16 months in state prison for violating his probation in a previous drug case.

California Superior Court Judge Cynthia Rayvis said the 45-year-old actor "abused the privilege of probation" and "needs to be in a lockdown setting." She recommended Sizemore be sent to the R.J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego County for its noteworthy drug treatment program.

Sizemore, whose screen credits include Saving Private Ryan and Blackhawk Down, wore orange jail clothing and didn't speak during the June 25 hearing.

Authorities arrested Sizemore on May 8 in Bakersfield, California. Deputy District Attorney Sean Carney alleged that the actor violated his probation by being under the influence of methamphetamine, opiates and marijuana, possessing methamphetamine, and possessing drug paraphernalia.

He faces up to six years in prison if convicted of all the charges. He has been in jail without bail since surrendering on June 5.
