Argentine President Nestor Kirchner is urging the United Nations to persuade Iran to cooperate with a judicial probe into the deadly 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires.
President Kirchner told the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday that up to now, Iran has not provided all the collaboration needed by the Argentine justice system to clarify what happened.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spoke immediately after President Kirchner but did not refer to the Argentine leader's comments.
No one has been convicted in the attack, which was the deadliest in Argentina's history.
Last year, an Argentine prosecutor said there was evidence that Iran's senior leadership ordered the Lebanese militant group, Hezbollah, to attack the Jewish center.
Iran and Hezbollah have repeatedly denied any involvement in the bombing, which also left scores of people injured.
Another attack against Jews in Argentina also remains unsolved. In 1992, the Israeli Embassy was bombed, killing at least 29 people and wounding 200 others.
