Scott, Immelman Share Nedbank Golf Lead

Australian golfer Adam Scott and Trevor Immelman of South Africa share the lead after both shot 5-under-par 67s in the first round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge in Sun City, South Africa.

Scott had an eagle on the 15th hole but then fired a bogey on the 16th. Immelman had birdies for the first four holes, but also had two bogeys in his round.

European Order of Merit winner Justin Rose and English countryman Luke Donald are in second place, one stroke off the lead at 4-under-par 68. Tournament favorite Ernie Els of South Africa is tied with former U.S. Open winner Geoff Ogilvy of Australia at 3-under-par 69. Els is trying to win this 12-man event for the fourth time.

The tournament is being played on the 7,162-meter Gary Player Country Club Course. The winner takes home $1.2 million.
