Egyptian security sources say at least five people were killed when a 12-story building collapsed in Egypt's port city of Alexandria.
Rescue workers rushed to the scene of Monday's collapse and pulled bodies from the rubble. Authorities expect the death toll to rise.
Officials say a woman was found alive in the debris.
Egypt's state news agency, MENA, quotes Alexandria Governor Adel Labib as saying construction workers were doing repairs to the first floor of the building when it suddenly tilted and collapsed.
Buildings on both sides of the collapsed structure were damaged and evacuated.
