Johnny Grant, a Los Angeles radio and television personality known as "the honorary mayor of Hollywood," has died at the age of 84.
Grant's body was found Wednesday at his room in a Hollywood high-rise hotel.
Grant earned his nickname hosting various ceremonies in the U.S. entertainment capital, including the Hollywood Christmas Parade and celebrities receiving their stars on Hollywood's famous Walk of Fame.
He also made dozens of overseas trips through the United Service Organization, USO, to entertain U.S. troops.
