Defending champion Egypt faces Ivory Coast while host Ghana takes on Cameroon in the African Cup of Nations football tournament semifinals today in Kumasi and Accra.
At Kumasi's Sports Stadium (2030 UTC Thursday) Ivory Coast is favored against the five-time champion Egyptians.
The Elephants have won all four of their Cup of Nations' games, scoring 13 goals while giving up just one. Egypt comes in after scoring wins over Cameroon, Sudan and Angola.
The Pharaohs have drawn their last two matches with Ivory Coast - in the 2006 African final in Cairo and last year in a friendly in Paris.
Meanwhile at Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra (1700 UTC) Ghana's team will be without team captain John Mensah, who is suspended after committing a hard foul in Sunday's 2-1 win over Nigeria. Should the Black Stars make the final, Mensah will be available.
Cameroon is coming off a 120-minute, 3-2 win over Tunisia. The winners today meet in the final Sunday. Thursday's losers battle for third place on Saturday.
